Registered June 26th as June 26th Open-air Bath Day with the Japan Anniversary Association.
As the birthplace of Open-air Bath Day, a ritual is held every year to express gratitude for the hot springs.
We will also hold an event at the same time.

Yubara's summer tradition『Hanzaki Festival”
The eve festival is held on August 7th and the main festival is held on August 8th every year!

What is Hanzaki?,The giant salamander is a national special natural monument.
This is an annual event at Yubara Onsen that is said to be Okayama's strange festival!

At the festival, large hanzaki floats, roadside floats, and hanzaki nebuta also appear.
Yubara Onsen is dyed in the color of Hanzaki.

【8/8 Festival】

With Taro Hanzaki Dashi in the lead, Hayashi Dashi, Dochu Bayashi Odori Ren, and Hanako Hanzaki Dashi parade through the hot spring town.
In the second half of the festival, a golden-colored “Hanzaki Nebuta” will also appear.
At the festival plaza, there will be a song show and a fireworks display at the climax.

You can enjoy gibier menus with elaborate tastes from restaurants and inns in the hot spring town.(Contains venison)

FY2024 acceptance system development project
We will provide transportation subsidies for guests.

We will subsidize a portion of the cost of operating buses and rental cars for overnight trips to the Maniwa area.
In addition to travel agency plans, individual trips are also available! Please use it as a means of transportation to Maniwa.
The details of the subsidy system are as follows.

1. Eligible conditions ① Stay at least one night in the Maniwa area
　　　　　　　　　②Use a chartered bus or rental car within the itinerary

2. Target period: Return date: March 31, 2025(until the end of the event)　*Ends as soon as budget limit is reached

3. Subsidy amount: 30,000 yen per night per chartered bus, 3,000 yen per night per rental car

*The detailed contents are as per the "Issuance Guidelines" in the related documents.
　We have also prepared an "Application Form for Issuance" that must be submitted as related documents.

①Open-air bath(Sunayu)
A famous hot spring that was chosen as the "Yokozuna of the West" in a nationwide ranking of open-air baths.
There are three baths with different temperatures, all of which are mixed baths.

Yubara Fureai Exchange Center(Yumoto Onsenkan)
Including men's and women's bathrooms (hot springs), relaxation, socializing, and rest spaces,
This is a complex with a variety of local souvenirs.

③Yakushi(Hot spring Yakushido)
If you visit Yakushi Nyorai, the effects of the medicinal bath will also increase.

④ Top museum
A collection of over 3,000 tops of 1,600 types collected from Japan and overseas.
You can also try it out at the adjacent workshop.

④Hanzaki Center
Introducing the ecology and breeding of Hanzaki (Giant salamander).

⑤Shimoyubara Onsen Sunflower Hall
Yubara Onsen has separate open-air baths for men and women.
There is also a clean bath for pets, which is very popular.
Sunflower Hall sells local specialties and souvenirs.
